I am a 26 year old photographer. I grew up in Paris where I studied Visual Communication. I was born in the US so I moved back to New york and I have been working in Brooklyn ever since. Originally trained as a Graphic designer, my experience in framing, composition, lines and contrast influence my photography.
“From my rooftop in Williamsburg, I could see hundreds of birds dancing in the sunlight. They were pigeons. The banal grey birds had suddenly become a flock of fluid elegant movement. Following their flight I found their cages and the rooftop of The Polonia Democratic Club, where they came from. I became friends with their caretaker Frank, who feeds and keeps an eye on the 141 pigeons. I started to go there every once in a while to complete this series of photographs. It reminds me of the landscape in the movie Ghost Dog.” Every day, Frank says he loses at least one bird to a hungry hawk.
