Thomas Lagrange will present at the library Yvon Lambert (14 Rue des Filles Calvaire, 75003 Paris) on June 11, 2019 at 18H his new book entitled: 229 images.
Prefaced by journalist and art critic Jina Khayyer, he expresses his work through various still life photographs, as an assemblage of different parallel worlds.
From this assemblage emerges a new aesthetic.
These innovative ideas also echo his encounters, especially with the model Ashley Graham, seen early in her career far from fashion standards.
Working with the big names of fashion such as Vogue France, Vogue Italy, Self-Service and Elle USA but also Vuitton, Chanel, Miu Miu or Cartier, Thomas Lagrange has elevated these surrealist visual experiences to the rank of art.
Born and based in Paris, he studied at the California Academy of Arts where he studied photography.
With a fifteen years strong career, this book expresses photography as fashionable media , allowing a breaking of the barriers of arts which leads to a new visual and conceptual vector.
He brings photography to a level of instant visual art fitting well with its era.
