The Photobrussels Festival launches its second edition this Friday, November 17th. The festival will be held until January 20 around the theme of portraiture. It is organized by Hangar and is conceived as “an annual meeting dedicated to contemporary photography”. The festival takes place in many places in the city and galleries.
The second edition honors the Antwerp Academy of Fine Arts and the students of the Cambre School. Among the exhibited artists, photographers Liu Bolin, Karel Fonteyne, Sam Ivin, ORLAN or Ruud van Empel are adventurers. A workshop led by Leica is also organized on Saturday 25 November, while a photographic library is specially set up for the occasion.
