‘The Power of the Femme’ was a pop-up exhibition in London produced by the women of The September Issues magazine in celebration of Women’s Month.
The September Issues—a biannual magazine featuring only women contributors—is a campaign for uninhibited creativity and integrity and represents a commitment to self-exploration, change and growth.
Curated from the magazine’s three issues with a select few additional artists, ‘Power of the Femme’ is a collection of these fresh and distinct voices who are authoring their identities, defining their own artistic spaces, and creating meaningful work that reflects the diversity and power of global femininity. The art and photography on view is a radical exploration of activism, fashion, beauty, and the female gaze.
The exhibition has been curated and produced with unfinished animals, an innovative company bringing artists and organisations together to create powerful and engaging spaces.
