It’s a sad day. So many, too many deaths in Kiev. Maïdan will one day be remembered like Tiananmen Square, like Tahrir. It’s also a sad day to hear what’s happening in Paris at the headquarters ofLibération, the newspaper that transformed the French press by liberating it from a ponderous formalism, but also by introducing press photography as something other than a simple illustration. They were like a language independent from the text, not complementary to it. The photos took up the whole front page. It was wonderful for readers and photographers alike, and it was a team effort led by Christian Caujolle. The newspaper must not disappear.
Have a nice week
