Tate Britain recently appointed Kate Bush, who shares her first and last name with the famous singer, adjunct curator of photography. So far she worked as Head of photography at the Science Museum Group. She also worked for the Barbican Center in London.
Kate Bush will be responsible for building and strengthening the British photography collections of Tate Britain, at a time when the institution recently acquired Martin Parr’s photographic book collections (more than 12,000 references). She will work with Simon Baker, Ann Gallagher and Tate Britain director Alex Farquharson.
His mission will begin in October.
