And if tomorrow, all your memories disappear? And if you could choose three photographs to keep in memory your most beautiful moments of life, which ones would you select?
It is on this poetic theme that Swiss Life employees were invited to reflect, participating in the photo competition “The Memory of Beautiful Things”.
Nathalie Martin, General Delegate of the Swiss Life Foundation, returned to the genesis of this original idea: “We have been partners for more than 10 years with the France Alzheimer Association, and we wanted to approach the disease with all of our collaborators. in a different way, by de-dramatizing. An idea came to me when I saw the way in which an Alzheimer’s patient reacted during a visit to Jeu de Paume, a temple of photography. Each picture awakened in her a memory. She radiated happiness. We had to do something … The Swiss Life Foundation is very involved in the field of photography. We reflected with the start up Wipplay and imagined a participatory photo contest: The Memory of Beautiful Things. Imagine, tomorrow your memory fades. You can choose 3 souvenir photos which, when you look at them, will give you the memory of beautiful things. ”
This operation full of sensitivity was a success since more than 130 photos were shared, liked, voted by enthusiastic collaborators everywhere in France: reminiscence of incredible holidays, laughing children, beautiful landscapes, memories of parents and grandparents gone, and even … a lot of cats! A successful bet that shows the impact of photography on our lives.
