These are pictures of Pézenas (France) in the South of France. I live nearby and spend a lot of time photographing life in the village. Many old French cities with their gray stone streets and old buildings can be unwelcoming. And while tourists come to see its cobblestone streets of the 14th century and its stone buildings, the Piscenois prefer to animate and embellish their city. With painting and imagination, they create a vibrating atmosphere almost dreamlike small shops and cafes. My goal was to capture those colors and the little moments of village life.
