Amoregrafia [Dance of a Black Euplecte for a Golden Cockchafer]
Certain kinds of emotions form an aggregate of dull impulses, penetrating the flesh of the soul in a strangely silent cry. Imagine a mental theater scene where a woman casts her most beautiful shadows: deep and silky, displaying all the reflections of her heartbreaking melancholy. Fractured materials, depigmented decorations, suffering soils and air, injuries and lacerations of the elements which furnish these places. This series of photos tells of madness in love, of bruises to the soul, of invisible and silent wounds. Here, all the material suffering offered by the abandoned places underlines the words that are not heard.
Syllables, words, verbs are transformed into looks, postures and gestures, revealing an emotional violence that we can only contain just enough.
Amoregrafia is a photographic approach to self-representation, where truth is composed of lines and contrasts.
