Stéphane Casali – “Between the linES” – ELLES

Preview

The photographer Casali and the actress and author Véronique Boutonnet confront their experiences and combine it to tell about women.

“Between Les LignES” presents a series of 32 photographs made in analog photography, then printed with gum dichromated by the photographer.

Women pose under the eye of the photographer and rest on the author’s paper.

Casali portrays the lines of today’s bodies, caressing them with a simple light, and invites one to navigate the meridian of fragmented bodies. Véronique Boutonnet interprets these photographs with her words.

“I let my desire to disembody a day when, on a beach at the other end of the world, I heard that little petty, excessive and mocking laugh, … without heart. That’s why I wanted to question the look on the body today. With this series, I wanted to present the bodies as they are … simply “Fine”, without any other judgment. “- Casali

“The women pose, I look at the images, I let my eyes absorb the raw sensations, I do not filter anything, and I tell. I decided to do this job in a completely instinctive way, to trust the immediate relationship that is established between the image and me. Out of this will come short stories, thoughts, short poems, loose words, shot on the page like cards. “- Véronique Boutonnet
