“A sunny March day was the excuse to reorganize the pots and do some gardening. Forgotten at a corner, under a pile of clay pots, few old glass flower pots, were hiding evidences of previous lives. Midday light was more than enough to reveal a new different world and challenging senses.
Old and broken plant’s roots and bugs parts, nearly fossilized, had left their imprints on the glass and the perception of reality was altered.
A curved and almost transparent canvas was capturing my sight and forcing it to explore every glass pot from many different angles. I was mesmerized and felt like a young child looking through a kaleidoscope for the very first time. Tangled by those roots, took me sometime before going for my camera.
Sunrays were making everything so abstract but yet so clear. Answers becoming questions while transmitting a plethora of stimulations and messages.” – Stefanos Kouratzis –
