Stephen Perloff’s new series Old Masters Revisited will be till March 31 at the Space Art Gallery of Philadelphia.
Perloff, the founder and editor of The Photo Review and editor of The Photograph Collector, taught photography and the history of photography at numerous Philadelphia-area colleges and universities, and is the recipient of two artist fellowships from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts for arts criticism and the Colin Ford Award for curatorship from the Royal Photographic Society. His photographs reside in many institutional and private collections.
As Perloff says, “This is a completely different project that I started during the pandemic, much different from the street photography, documentary pictures, landscapes, and portraiture that I’ve done since my first photographs in 1956 when I was eight!”
