In 1999, after a Masters degree in Sociology and studies in cinema, Sophie Carlier accompanies a humanitarian convoy in Albania and begins her work in photography. Since then, she has accumulated self-portraits in staged settings where simple objects produce an operational discrepancy. Awoken dream, emergence of a part of childhood, eroticism; laughing to the point of tears comes and goes.
