In Motion: Andy Warhol 1974 – 1986, a curated exhibition of Andy Warhol photographs will be on view for three days from December 9th to 11th in the newly opened Sized Studio in Los Angeles. Each piece, in the highly-inspired show, has been selected by Sized Founder and Creative Director, Alexander May, from the collection of Jim Hedges, one of the most notable Andy Warhol collectors in the world.
In Motion: Andy Warhol 1974 – 1986 features over forty photographs ranging from 1974 to 1986, including never-before-seen pieces. The exhibition is a collection of remarkable moments throughout Warhol’s life and is carefully curated by May, with each image providing unique insight into the daily life of the artist, as well as New York’s cultural scene. The black-and-white film portraits portray a sampling of each of Warhol’s film subjects, including photos of friends and contemporaries such as Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, William S. Burroughs, Bianca Jagger, and more.
Located in the center of Los Angeles at 526 N. Western Avenue, Sized Studio presents a 5,000+ sq. ft multi-purpose space designed to host innovative commercial projects and curated experiences that connect Los Angeles with the global creative community.
“In Motion: Andy Warhol 1974 – 1986 is a collection of seemingly random moments from Warhol’s personal life spanning over a decade. It is a reference to how one’s creative process comes and goes through travel, studio practice, friends, lovers and collaborators – which felt appropriate considering we are marking the opening of a new cultural studio through this exhibition.” – Alexander May, Founder of Sized.
