Simon Procter sent us his latest work with these words:
“18th of June 1984 ,The Battle of Orgreave, after Breguel is a new artwork. Orgreave is a sad event in the history of Great Britain. I grew up In Royston a mining village, near Barnsley, during the Miners Strike.
In Breguels masterpiece The Triumph of Death, cartwheels are staked with bodies and held aloft, I always thought they looked like the winding gear from the coal mines you see all around where I grew up.
After several years (about 400 hours work) finally about to finish and wondered if it may be featured on the anniversary of the event.” Simon Procter
