Séverine Gautier, 40, began taking pictures after spending a few years doing audiovisual work. She trained at the Centre Iris in 2011. A Marseilles native, she now lives in Paris.
“This short series entitled Lost in Translation follows a woman in an unfamiliar city. I wanted to translate the feeling of a traveler exploring a new space in an altered state, where mind and vision are out of step, as she loses herself in the writing and the image.”
