Littoral : De la Camargue à la Côte Vermeille
Léo Delafontaine and Vladimir Vasilev, have travelled all along the mediterranean coast to cover all its social and ecological problems, from precarious housing to pollution, and nautical occupations.

Léo Delafontaine was born in 1984. He lives and works in Paris. He graduated in Photography from Paris 8 University) and French literature (Paris 10 University), and he now devotes his work to documentary photography, without worrying about documenting. After several series of picture taken in Texas, Dubai, Kosovo or in Disneyland, he did a report for Photaumnales about the three monotheists religions. The project was published in 2011 by Diaphane Editions with texts written by Christian Caujolle and Isy Morgensztern.
He is a prize-winner of the SFR Young Talents competitions – International photography festival of Arles 2011.

Vladimir Vasilev was born in Bulgaria, Vladimir discovered photography during a training course at age 15. It was a revelation for him and the reason he decided to become a photographer. Assistant photographer, then cameraman for the national television, he left Bulgaria and came to France in 2001 and there chose to shoot reportages. His intense black and the white pictures seem to come straight out of an Eisenstein’s film, thus betraying his Slavic origins, as do his subjects of predilection, which are in his native country, the Roma and urban ghettos.
