“The Fantastic Journey” is a series of photomontages made up of images of my daily life, an infinite photographic playground where the image is manipulated freely.
Blurring the tracks between the real and the imaginary, I walk on the border between these two worlds.
These images refer to the era in which we live while entering into a futuristic parallel universe, sometimes borrowing a sense of narration close to comics and sci-fi narratives.
“The Fantastic Journey ” is also a work on memory: by reworking and mixing images from my photographic diary, I question my memory and my imagination that over time transforms these past moments. The fact is, we will never remember exactly how these moments unfolded.
We will never know if it was true.
The Odissea series extends the Fantastic Journey,
This is the great start, the odyssey, a march towards the unknown, going up there, take what to take and leave what to leave,
Back to the dawn of time, bring us closer to the stars and let us remember for a moment our animal being.
The stranger is behind us and a series of first times are waiting for us at the corner of the woods. Let’s rediscover the art of telling stories because this time we have a good excuse. Let’s play and dream freely, it is – and it’s serious – to discover the world.
Odissea is a series of autobiographical images that mix photographs and photomontages, on the transition period that is maternity.
