Expectation
The cracks or holes in the rocks recall the gestures of Lucio Fontana that open the dark to the light and the light to the dark. A unity is created between light, darkness and the environment, a place where emotions are exchanged, a sort of visual metaphor of the unconscious, the twilight place where all the images and emotions of our life are housed. Lucio Fontana did not use the term cuts, but expectation because the open cut projects us in front of a new dimension, waiting for something new to happen: it is as if beyond the canvas / photograph there is something that expands into space, and just waiting for us to pick it up.
