I first came to the idea that Lebanon is going through the end of the post-war . That war of 1975-91 , as an artistic subject, was now outdated , ” old-fashioned ” it had exhausted consciences prostitute all styles. By staging the “Random bullets ” I felt that I was not in the nostalgia of the postwar period, because the current war is going to build new contemporary art departments, with Daesh in Web section, and these dead who have no sense and no longer are the “innocent victims of war” but statistical coincidences.
Looking at these photos, I think it would still push a little further, so that these dead shall not be, emotionally, profitable topics. But it is probably impossible; there is always the pleasure of the war, playing war.
