The Ronan Guillou Scholarship is launched as part of the Civis Maritimus program which proposes to explore the relationship between Man and the Sea to shake up essential issues facing the Ocean.
This grant program is intended for photographers from Europe and the southern shores of the Mediterranean, with a project associating man and the marine world. €4,000 will be allocated to the winner to carry out a project between Sète and the Gulf of Lion.
In 2025, with the support of the city of Sète and M28 terres de culture, a photographic creation grant is offered to professional European photographers and those from the southern shore of the Mediterranean.
From the same territory – the Occitanie region – Civis Maritimus invites for its third edition a photographer to produce a photographic project engaged on social, cultural, ecological and/or heritage issues linking humans and the marine world.
The photographer will benefit from a grant of €4,000 and a residency in Sète for a period of two months from May 5 to July 5, 2025 to carry out their project, with partial restitution in September 2025.
The third edition of the Ronan Guillou Scholarship is supported by the city of Sète and M28 terres de culture.
In homage to the French photographer Ronan Guillou.
