Richard Koh Fine Art presented at MIA&D Singapore fair an installation of photographs by Krisada Suvichakongpong that are specifically encased in custom-produced frames. The photographic installation, which is an extension of the series created for his recent solo exhibition titled Cabinet Curiosity! Richard Koh Fine Art Singapore features semi-staged photographs of cabinets and shelves littered with an assortment of objects ranging from stuffed animals to historical figurines. The shelves and objects in real life belong to Krisada’s artist friends. The pictures when framed in a box-like manner create the illusion that the objects are “real” as they are almost of real-life size while also transforming the prints into sculptural objects. The installation at MIA&D Singapore will invite viewers into a space similar to a room of curiosities with the framed photographic prints adorning almost all of the surfaces.
