Remèdes Galerie : Veronica Mecchia : Wild Flowers

Preview

Remèdes Galerie presents Veronica Mecchia‘s solo exhibition, Wild Flowers.

Italian photographer, born in Paris, Veronica Mecchia grew up in Milan where she first trained in art history and then in photography with Giuliana Traverso at the “Il Diaframma” Gallery in Milan.

In 2003, she returned to Paris where she continued her art history training before devoting herself entirely to photography.

Her artistic affiliation with the photographer Arno Rafael Minkkinen, of whom she was a pupil in Italy and whom she considers to be her mentor, translates into an imperious propensity to maintain an organic link with nature.

Her black & white photographic work explores the relationship of Man to his environment in a personal version. Through strong artistic choices: film, self-portrait, nude, black & white;  she shows her state of mind and reveals her deep identity by being part of the ephemeral with poetry.

As if absorbed by the beauty of things or places that move her, Veronica Mecchia encourages us, through her photographs, to suspend time in gentle contemplation and leaves us with a light heart, the desire like her, to poetically inhabit the world.

The exhibition will open with a vernissage on Thursday June 1 from 5 p.m.
