Our marine ecosystem is threatened like never before. Millions of tons of plastic have accumulated in our ocean: a 16-million km2 (24 times France) plastic garbage vortex has been created by man. This ecological disaster is out of control, threatening the environment as well as humankind.
Alarmed by this situation, the Race for Water Foundation is organizing a sailing expedition to assess plastic marine pollution. Sailing in March 2015 and at seas for 10 months on a racing trimaran, you will sail through the five oceans with the most talented sailing crew.
The Race for Water Foundation is looking for a multimedia photographer to join its team. It’s a one-of-a-kind opportunity to show your talent and act for a better world. The lucky candidate will have to be fully proficient in English and have a good knowledge of French as well as a good sailing experience. Its mission will be to document the whole Odyssey, with photos and videos from March 2015 until approximately January 2016. During
all this time, as Media Crew, he/she will receive a stipend, as does the rest of the crew.

Our committee will select 5 finalists, who will be invited to come to Brittany in December 2014 for interviews with the Race For Water Team. If you are selected, various physical and medical tests will be necessary to be part of this adventure.
