The SCAM Roger Pic Prize awards each year the author of a photographic portfolio (reportage, press photography, portraits). Created by Roger Pic, a grand photographer but also a militant in regards to copyright, this prize, initially entitled Grand Prix SCAM of Photographic portfolios brings now it’s name and perpetuates its memory.
Provision: 4500€ + and an exhibition at Scam

Date of creation: 1993
Object: To compensate the author of a photographic portfolio.
Conditions: The portfolio must contain 15 photographs maximum about a press reportage, portraits on subjects concerning society matters, voyages, arts… They will be submitted to the jury as prints or saved on CD or DVD, readable on Windows PC in the following formats: JPG, TIF, PICT, PNG, BMP. Diapositives and phtotocopies will not be accepted and prints must be 30x40cm at the most.
The portfolio must not have been awarded before.
The portfolio will be accompanied by a CV and an inscription form to download on www.scam.fr
Deadline: In general the dossiers must arrive Scam by May 31st of the current year.
Jury: The jury is composed of personalities of the photography and media world.
Before the submission to the jury, a selection will be made by members of the Scam’s image commission.
The jury 2010 was presided by Alain Genestar and composed of Sylvie Pallous, Michel Backès, Jean-Marie Drot, Peter Knapp and Marc Le Mené
