Second place in the Prix Talent MAP 2014 was awarded to Alban Lecuyer for the series Ici prochainement.
The series explores the stereotypes of virtual images used to promote real estate projects. Produced by architects and developers, these fictional representations of the city depict a standard scene: a largely white, blond, young and feminine population, standardized climates, low contrast and few shadows. All that stands between the viewer and the project—trees, cars, pedestrians, etc.—is transparaent, reflecting the place of an individual partially absent from the scene. Ici prochainement transposes the reality of an already dated and proven living space through the futuristic aesthetic of architectural marketing.
