Leaving Reality
Leaving Reality is a lyrical graphic novel. Each image presents a story that can be interpreted in a multitude of ways. These juxtaposed, surreal images invite viewers to take a closer look and create their own unique narrative.
The abstract images in this series are cyanotypes, lumen prints, chemigrams, and hybrid forms created using analogue and digital collage techniques. This body of work is the result of experiments that began in April/2022 during an artist residency at the Wallace Stegner House in Eastend, Saskatchewan and it was further developed during an experimental photography mentorship at the Agora School of Experimental Photography in Barcelona in 2022 and 2023.
