The first edition of the Photoreporter Festival of St-Brieuc, the International Festival of Photojournalism, has proved successful with more than 80,000 people visiting the 15 exhibitions put on show. In January 2012, an international jury selected 15 photographers from among more than 300 entries from 40 countries, with the winning projects shown exclusively in the Bay of Saint-Brieuc between October 20th and November 11th.
It was thanks to the sponsorship of local companies that the festival was able to finance the 15 projects and exhibitions. These donations were held in a central fund (Fonds de Dotation) presided over by Michel Lesage, the local Member of Parliament.
Photoreporter 2013
The Call for entries for the festival, opening October 2013, is now open exclusively to professional photographers of all nationalities. As last year, there is a free choice of subject and no specific theme.
An international jury will meet at the end of January 2013 to decide of the selection for the festival. A contract of exclusivity will bind the selected photographers and the Photoreporter en Baie de Saint Brieuc Festival. Proposals should be forwarded to [email protected]
