I got interested in photography quite young, out of curiosity, then this practice took more and more place in my life until it became my profession. Freelance photographer, I was also a press photo correspondent for 3 years. Since 2014 I have also been teaching Photoshop and image creation at the International University of Monaco (IUM). I also teach at L’École Municipale d’Arts Plastiques in Menton and at Sciences Po, still in Menton. Finally, I also work for EDAA, an online art school. Dominique Agius VANITY During my studies I had the opportunity to study Art and to feel immense respect and admiration for the Classical Masters of painting. “VANITÉ” is a tribute to these artists who discovered everything and passed everything on to us. Directly inspired by painters such as Caravaggio and De La Tour, in this series I deal with recurring subjects of baroque painting: The alchimist, the Madeleine, dinner at Emmaüs, etc … Without copying existing works, I immersed myself in these universes to create photos interpreting my vision of these major themes.
