Along with the deep transformations in the American industry during the 20th century, the US has also witnessed the emergence of local initiatives to produce and consume differently. The aim is to by-pass the mass market and rediscover the taste of real food.
Ben is one of those Americans striving to know and control the origins of their food.
He lives in the suburbs of Salt Lake City where he aspire to a self-sufficient lifestyle. With his wife, Katherine, they raise their own chickens, geese and ducks and grows their own vegetables.
