Chambl’envi festival has this year proposed to Paul Cassar to present his photos within the framework of European Heritage Days. Architect of profession, but, according to its statements, photographer in the soul ; obviously, he is. Paul Cassar shows us only with these few photos his faintness in front of the vulnerability of “his characters”. More than the truth of places, sites, objects, people, he wants just to show. Paul Cassar’s photos intend to oblige us to look with dignity to see everything, it is so, to see everything now. The photo was taken and fixed this look which is going to exist for ever.
Sometimes and not to say often, his look is revolt ; he says not to work in black and white but in “black for white”.
The choice of the centring participates of the same will and is anxious to specify the temporality. Often the plans are wide and “his characters” small ; they are humble because become eternal in the image.
