Pre Partum
The images presented here, “Pre Partum”, constitute the first part of a double series entitled “Childhood”. They essentially try to express the complexity and the violence of procreation, so often underestimated, concealed, even ignored. Giving life, a primordial act if ever there was one, entirely devoted to women, often does not, however, assure them of the admiration, gratitude and respect that should be due to them. The arrogance and hypocrisy of men (males), the stupidity and brutality of our societies are the causes that women overcome and yet master. I hope that the images in this series, at least to a small extent, reflect these injustices. (…)
