Introduction
The Thessa Herold gallery represents photographers of worldwide repute, who belong to historical avant-gardes, as well as contemporary photographers who intend to mark their names in the history of photographic art.
What is your point of view on the financial side of the photographic market today ?
In the last few years an important market for historical and contemporary photography has been growing.
Many amateurs mostly young are becoming collectors since prices are affordable , and the publicity around the medium made by museums and auction sales attract them.
More than a century after the invention of art photography , at first it was only a mean to develop scientific research , than in the 20th century artist such as Man Ray , Christian Sched gave photography its artistic dimension.
We think that this art expression has bright days ahead, with the use of perfected photographic equipment that can be use by any one but that of course only artists use with talent.
