Introduction
Galerie Priska Pasquer is specialized in photography of the 1920s, 1930s and 1950s as well as contemporary and Japanese art. In regard to modern photography Galerie Priska Pasquer concentrates on artist from Germany and Russia like August, Albert Renger-Patzsch, Gustav Klutsis, El Lissitzky and Alexander Rodchenko and in regard to contemporary art and photography with artists like Rudolf Bonvie (Germany) and Andrei Molodkin (Russia). Besides European photography and Galerie Priska Pasquer puts an emphasis on introducing the major positions of Japanese photography from the 1930s until today. Japanese artists represented are for example Shomei Tomatsu, Daido Moriyama, Yutaka Takanashi, Asako Narahashi and Rinko Kawauchi.
What is your point of view on the financial side of the photographic market today ?
Since a few years we see reemergence of interest in European photographers, modern and post war. Also Japanese photography has emerged as a new topic. Private collectors and museums in the West are working actively on establishing collections on Japanese photography from the 1950s until today.
