177 galleries—double last year’s number—will be present at the 15th edition of Paris Photo. For the occasion, this week’s La Lettre de la Photographie will be dedicated to covering this indispensable international event.
This year, Paris Photo has outgrown the Carrousel du Louvre, doubling its exhibition space in its new home at the Grand Palais. Julien Frydman, recently named the director of the festival, welcomes 117 galleries from 23 countries, a global panorama of market players of 19th-century, modern and contemporary photography.
Every day this week, we will take a tour of each exhibitions across the festival, presenting a selection of each gallery’s work on show and sharing their visions of today’s photography market. Through Yan Morvan’s lens on L’œil de La Lettre, you will enter a portrait gallery of the stars of Paris Photo.
You will also find coverage of this month events related to festival, including the numerous auctions.
At the end of the week, whether you’re in New York, Moscow, Shanghai, London, Ulan Bator, or still in bed in Brooklyn, you’ll know everything you need to know and have seen everything you need to see at Paris Photo.
