Opened in June 2011, the Galerie Schwab Beaubourg is a 170 square-meter space steps from the Centre Pompidou. Photography is being exhibited in the gallery for the first time. The exhibition Regarde-moi confronts the work of two contemporary photographers : Marc Lagrange and Martial Lenoir.
Marc Lagrange is based in Anvers, Belgium. His work captures beauty and sensual delight. In his portraits and nude photographs, Lagrange create luxurious and timeless environments where eroticism and intimacy play an important role. His photographs combine the glamor of Hollywood starlets with the mysteries of the paintings of the great masters.
Born in 1971, Martial Lenoir is a Paris-based fashion photographer who shoots portraits and nudes. Known for his award-winning 2009 series La loge des rats, Lenoir’s latest series, Reflets du désordre, which consists of 20 photographs is on display at the gallery.
