The association Ouvrir Les Yeux supports medical research for diseases that affect the optic nerve. More than 120 photographers have joined forces to help their cause. An auction will be held on July 1 in Le Touquet in the north of France. Among the photographers whose work will be up for auction are Jane Evelyn Atwood, Laurent Baheux, Arnaud Baumann, Eric Bouvet, Jean-Jacques Bugat, David De Beyter, Bertrand Desprez, Ed Kashi, Corentin Fohlen, Yves Gellie, Eitan Haddock, Claudia Imbert, Marion Poussier, Marc Riboud, Lizzie Sadin, Christine Spengler, Olivier Touron and Elene Usdin.
The auction will be overseen by Henri Anton. Fifty percent of the proceeds from this sale will be donated to the association to help medical research find a cure for these neuropathic diseases.
