The sky essences
The sky essences, trees, are at the base of the development and multiplication of the various forms of life on earth. This work finds and reincarnates the mythological tree of life. Trees are necessary, indispensable, they are everywhere but they are also so mistreated and eliminated by human activities.
Trees are beings of light. They feed on it, absorb it, reflect it. Photographs are made by light. The trees and photos are twin brothers, light is what makes them.
The trees are immobile but they extend into others. “Everything in the tree is open and offered to the world” Jacques Tassin, researcher in plant ecology.
We should be inspired by trees and their way of being in the world.
This series, as well as all my photographic work centered on trees, tries to show all the beauties of trees. All trees are remarkable but too few are noticed. Let’s protect and preserve the trees!
