Myima Marin, of Franco-Italian origin, went to the l’Ecole Nationale Supérieure Louis Lumière (National Film, Photography & Sound Engineering School) in 2009, after studying physics. There he advanced his knowledge of photography and explored the different facets of the medium from silver-gelatin photography to the new media, from fashion to documentary.
In 2010 he was awarded the Paris Match Prize for Student Reportage and this allowed him to make his cross-media documentary project about the American dream a reality, in partnership with Courier International.
In 2013, Nyima became assistant to the photographic artist Jean Larivière and it was at this time he began to concentrate on looking into studio photography and a more intimate approach to the medium. The cinema also became a constant source of inspiration in his work.
At the moment he works as an independent photographer in the Paris region and wants to move into the domain of fashion and beauty.
