The NOOR photographic agency has five new photographers. Director Clement Saccomani announced that Indian photographer Arko Datto and Belgian photographers Leonard Pongo and Sanne de Wilde joined the agency as new nominees. “Seeing Sanne, Arko and Leonard join NOOR will allow us to continue to confront dominant stories by using visual narration with integrity and passion“, he said.
The photographer Sanne de Wilde has always admired the power of the photographic family, at a time when the photo agencies are losing momentum. Integrate a group where members “share ideals, differ in opinion, reach for the same goals, exchange ideas; eager to learn, teach, share” allows her to reconsider her job. “I see NOOR as a colorful group of people where I could add another touch of color,” she concludes.
Two new members are also to be counted. They are the Jordanian Tanya Habjouqa and the New Zealander Robin Hammond. The latter celebrated the event. “A year ago I had the honor of being accepted as a NOOR nominee. Since then, by working with the NOOR office, I’ve seen my work reach more people, and have a greater impact. The members of the agency have been a constant source of inspiration and support. I’m really grateful now, at the Annual General Meeting in Amsterdam, to have been accepted as a full member into the NOOR family.”
