For their first joint creation and third collaboration, Nicolas Rouget and Claude Tomas are merging their approaches to photography. For both artists, the photographic image refers not only to the visible, but to the sensible, to sentiment as much as to sensation. The result is a series of diptychs that tell the story of journeys and encounters. This is a series that continues to grow…
Nicolas Rouget (b. 1977) splits his time between Poitiers and Paris. He has worked in both theatre and cinema as an assistant director, as a writer for fiction and documentary films, as well as for radio. His series Road Movie with Aiko Cortés was a resounding success during its exhibition at the gallery space Le Mouton Noir in January 2012.
Claude Tomas (b. 1967) is based in Poitiers. After studying philsophy, he devoted himself more fully to photography. With an interest in how photographs interact with each other, he has spent the last eight years working on the series Ephéméride.
