Loneliness, restricted space, the weakened body, oppression …
Dehumanized, it is the body that fills the void of space and symbolically our individuality is erased with the mask, only our gaze remains visible.
We could also link this to the posture of veiled women, but here only the faces are anonymous the body takes place and meaning in its nudity.
I wanted to bear witness to a “Trace” of this historic moment which touched us all this year.
Here again united in this human ordeal and paradoxically so lonely and divided …
