The Radiance #2 lenticular printing (2013), which assembles by juxtaposition a series of five images, proceeds from a mix of traditional shooting techniques, and contemporary ones, for the printing process. Mustapha Azeroual produces a digital artifact from colors captured by the photographic chamber at sunrise and at sunset. The artist reduces the landscape to its horizon, a boundary line from which it is configured and disappears. The vibrant lenticular surface reactivates this cycle of light in colors so craftily realized that two people side by side never perceive the same colors. The image is rebuilt through every look posed upon it. Mustapha Azeroual sends us to the origins of the landscape and its infinite deployment, to light as milieu and condition of its emergence.
