Munem Wasif –Larmes salées

Preview

In the far south-west of Bangladesh, the remarkable and gripping photographs of Munem Wasif show the consequences of the global warming and of the intensive culture of prawns on his country’s ecosystem. The salinity raised and traditional agriculture is not a possibility anymore. Birds, fishes, insects; every creature that lived on this soil has been burned by the tyranny of the brackish water. That is how 6 million persons suffer from this catastrophe caused by the lack of fresh water.
