Alexei Partola, a graduate of the British High School of Art and Design, presents a project devoted to “train-bombing.” According to the rules of the genre, the process of creating graffiti should be seen by no one. But Partola was able to photograph what remains invisible to the man in the street.

The heroes of this project aren’t those who do graffiti as a hobby. His heroes are the real bombers, the ones who paint on subway platforms, commuter trains and walls. These young people dedicate their lives to this profession, which has its own philosophy, rules, taboos, hierarchy, and only 5 to 10 minutes to create their message for humanity and disappear: Sanex, Gets, Kvadrat, Robe, Snek, Auto, Bruk, Rambo, Waspe, Blesg, Ros, Oser, Host, Humor, Debut, Bazuk, Men, Wen, Brok, Sker, Rude, Slack, Spacer.

According to Alexei Partola, what unites these people is the, “desire to change space. Every artist has their own canvas and brushes: some use oil paint, others spray paint, 150 kilometers from Moscow, on suburban trains or on the concrete safety barriers along the tracks.”
