For more than two months, Alexeï Izvekov, Alexandre Kougoutchine and Sergueï Potapov traveled 4000km through the old villages of western Russia. Their pictures are currently on display at the Glaz Gallery in Moscow. Alexeï Izvekov used black and white to illustrate a Russia both simple and at peace with itself. Alexandre Kougoutchine used color, producing pictures reminiscent of formerly popular picture stories. Sergueï Potapov used a technique similar to the ambrotype, altering the reality of the scenes he captured.
