Albert Kahn, visionary man, philanthropist, humanist, and creator of the “planet archives” in his time. (1860-1940)
A real favorite! The Albert Kahn Museum located in Boulogne-Billancourt houses several collections of photographs and films taken at the beginning of the 20th century, produced by photographers and cameramen sent around the world to constitute a corpus which will make it possible to better understand the populations, the ancient sites, landscapes, for respect and understanding between peoples. Many of the photographs were taken with the Autochrome process, a technique developed by the Lumière brothers, glass plates in the form of color slides faithful to the different subjects with an unequaled rendering. A world to discover and rediscover.
