This exhibition shows how views from above—ranging from the first aerial photographs in the 19th century to the satellite images of Google Earth— transformed the perception of artists. Through over 400 photographs, paintings, drawings, films, architectural models, installations books and magazines, all succeeding where Icarus failed, Vues d’en haut offers visitors an original overview of modern and contemporary art.
