Enter a universe on the breaking point of reality, where an intimacy and a relationship with nature emerge. The notions of time and traces of individuals were explored from two angles and different photographic processes. In the MIROIR DE POUDRE MAGIQUE series, an intimate story is told and in L’EMPREINTE DE L’OUBLI, cynaotype materials and impressions blend together.
A conversation takes place between the image and its materiality, the living and its decline, childhood and its identity. The two series take us into a world where the luxuriance of nature rubs shoulders with decline. Between bizarre and strange, we enter into a personal error, characters evolve in front of our eyes, send us messages. The blue color guide us.
“A series that I did when I needed to withdraw into myself. The work started during a Master Class that I was taking with Claudine Doury. I was in a period of my life when I saw a lot of people and for my photographic work I wanted to dig deep into myself. It was the first time that I revealed some of my privacy even in my photographic work. I mixed my fascination with abandoned places and my intimacy. The notion of time passing is very strong there, it is accentuated by the life cycle of the elements. We are between the self-portrait and questioning the mother-daughter relationship. My daughter’s emotions are mixed with my childhood dreams and the fears that I am reliving. ”
