The Tail of the Game is aimed to document the mental status of the single men travelling to Europe through the Balkan Route. During a six weeks project in Bosnia and Herzegovina side by side with the migrants, I collected interviews and I framed them in this particular way, well explained in the text embedded. Diptychs are completed by the pictures of the notebook’s page I asked them to fill up with some of their data and a single word that could summarise the entire long trip.
I am an Italian photo reporter born in 1983. My experience in the world of photography began in 2017: during a long two years journey I felt the urgency to tell what surrounded me and the stories of those people who were sharing with me part of their life. Since then, as a witnesses of my era, I decided to be an active part of its documentation, covering social issues, political and religious events, as well as environmental conflicts; these are just some of the topics that overlap the common thread in most of my projects: mental health and the emotional sphere of the subjects of the stories I tell.
